ResponsibilitiesThis is a split position that will share time between the HIV ambulatory care practice at Jefferson New Jersey and the three Jefferson East Region Hospitals. In the ambulatory care practice, the advanced clinical pharmacy specialist will provide direct pharmaceutical care, serving as a drug information and patient education resource and assisting with the monitoring of persons living with HIV. At the three East Region hospitals, the pharmacist will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical care services to the specialized patient population with infectious diseases. The pharmacist will support the Infectious Diseases consult service during direct patient care and provide antimicrobial stewardship services and support the OPAT program. The pharmacist will serve as a subject matter expert for Infectious Diseases for all of Jefferson Health New Jersey. The pharmacist may also serve as a preceptor for our PGY1 Pharmacy Residency program and pharmacy students.
QualificationsEducation:
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
AND Experience:
PGY1 Pharmacy Residency strongly preferred
PGY2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency strongly preferred
If no residency completion, minimum of 5 years of experience as an infectious diseases clinical pharmacist required
If only PGY1 Pharmacy Residency completed, minimum of 3 years experience as an infectious diseases clinical pharmacist required
Minimum Certifications, Registration or License Requirements: NJ Pharmacist License required
Certified or eligible for Board Certified Infectious Diseases Pharmacist (BCIDP) within 12 months of hiring date
Certified or eligible for AAHIVE or AAHIVP certificate within 12 months of hiring date
Conditions of EmploymentCovid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson's clinical entities or at the University.
