Responsibilities
The Advanced Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Infectious Diseases will be responsible for providing a full range of pharmaceutical care services to the specialized patient population with infectious diseases. The pharmacist will support the Infectious Diseases consult service during direct patient care and provide antimicrobial stewardship services as well as serve as the co-chair of the antimicrobial stewardship committee for Jefferson Health New Jersey. The pharmacist will serve as the subject matter expert for Infectious Diseases for all of Jefferson Health New Jersey. The pharmacist will also serve as a preceptor for our PGY1 Pharmacy Residency program and pharmacy students.
Qualifications
Education:

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
AND

Experience:

PGY1 Pharmacy Residency completion required

PGY2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency preferred

If no residency completion, minimum of 5 years of experience as a clinical pharmacist required
If only PGY1 Pharmacy Residency completed, minimum of 3 years experience as a clinical pharmacist required
Minimum Certifications, Registration or License Requirements:

NJ Pharmacist License required
Board Certified Infectious Diseases Pharmacist or Eligibility for Board of Pharmacy Specialties certification required
Conditions of Employment
Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson's clinical entities or at the University. If you are not currently vaccinated you will be required to receive the vaccination prior to hire date if you are offered employment, unless you request and receive an approved medical or religious exemption from Jefferson.
