Position Highlights:
  • Collegial multispecialty group practice with a large referral base and a focus on provider wellness and team-based care
  • Full complement of excellent support staff and dedicated practice management systems in place that enable you to practice at the peak of your medical license

Responsibilities:
  • Assists lead surgeon in surgical procedures, such as lumpectomies and mastectomies
  • Provides pre-operative and post-operative care, including patient education, wound care, and follow-up assessments.
  • Obtains detailed history and develops patient care charts; performs physical examinations and evaluations on assigned patients; assesses and treats medical problems and provides direct patient care to a specified patient population.
  • Supervises and/or coordinates the activities of patient care and support staff within the clinic
  • Writes progress notes on patients' charts indicating patient status and treatment procedures performed; maintains other records as required.

Required Qualifications:
  • Unrestricted Physician Assistant licensure in the state of New York or has New York application in process
  • Graduate of an Accredited Physician Assistant program, Masters level preferred
  • Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Active and unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain prior to start
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in surgical settings, preferably in breast surgery
The salary range for this role is $110,000 to $166,500 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
