About the Anesthesia Nurse Role

This unique opportunity will split time between Metropolitan Veterinary Associates (MVA) and Metropolitan Veterinary Urgent Care and Specialty (MVUCandS). At MVA, you’ll work alongside our board-certified anesthesiologist, gaining invaluable experience with advanced diagnostics and patient care across 13 specialty departments. At MVUCandS, you’ll partner with our experienced surgeon, playing a key role in delivering exceptional surgical and anesthesia care in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Schedule and Compensation

Schedule: 6 am - 4 pm M/Weds/Th/Fri OR 7 am - 5 pm M/Wedd/Th/Fri

Compensation: From $26/hr

Sign on bonus: $5,000

What You’ll Do

• Monitor and manage anesthesia for a variety of cases, from routine to critical.
• Collaborate closely with the anesthesiologist at MVA and the surgeon at MVUCandS.
• Provide exceptional patient care during procedures and recovery.
• Position and capture of radiographs
• Maintain detailed medical records and communicate effectively with team members.
• Utilize advanced technology and techniques to deliver top-tier care.
• Communicate with clients , and team members (verbally and written)

• Experience monitoring anesthesia, with exposure to critical and non-critical cases.
• Hold a current CVT/LVT/RVT license or equivalent educational experience.
• Thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
• Be passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality care.
• Broad knowledge of basic small animal medicine (pharmacology, proper restraint/handling, venipuncture, laboratory testing)
• Thorough understanding and knowledge of medical terminology, medications, and disease processes
• Attention to detail and a calm demeanor required
• Ability to work in a fast paced, environment
